Annual General Meeting 2009
The 26th AGM was held on Sunday 26th March
2009 at the Plate & Porter Restaurant.
The President Welcomed everyone and said that he had had a very busy and
enjoyable year.
The minutes of the 25th AGM were read. No matters were arising.
The Chairman gave a short report and thanked the officers and Committee
for their work during the year. He also thanked members who had attended
and supported the club over the 27 events that we had attended in 2008.
He said that donations to the club of over £900 was excellent and would
keep the club on a sound financial footing.
In Colin Arnold’s first report as Treasurer he said that he hoped he had
passed his probationary year and reported that the balance of funds now
stood at £2837.91, helped by this years donations.
Officers - Two of the Committee, Pat Swann and Desmond Smith remain the
same with Beryl Smith and Bernard Keane being elected to replace Joan
Lacey and Ron Saunders who had decided to stand down. Thanks go to Joan
and Ron for their help whilst Committee members. Other Officers remain
unchanged.
Forthcoming events and other club’s rallies were detailed and can be
found at the back of the magazine.
The meeting was closed and re-opened at the request of other members in
order that a discussion on members attending events could take place.
The outcome was that each member should bring a cycle and take their
turn on any display stand.
Forthcoming events and other club’s
rallies were given for the 2009 season.
